Semi toughened glass, also known as heat strengthened glass, is a variety between ordinary flat glass and tempered glass. Has the following features:
1. The strength of semi toughened glass is about 2 times that of ordinary glass.
2. Thermal stability of heat strengthened glass is better than ordinary glass.
3. The fragments of semi toughened glass are relatively large when broken, similar to annealed glass, and are not safety glass. If used as safety glass, it should be made into laminated glass.
4. Semi toughened glass does not have the defect of self-explosion.
5. The flatness of semi toughened glass is better than tempered glass.
